Marzipan Flowers tells the story of Hadas Regal, a 48-year-old woman living in Israel. After her husband is killed in a freakish motorcycle accident, Regal finds herself under intense scrutiny from her fellow kibbutz members, who seem threatened by her new status as a widow... and a beautiful one at that.
Lost and vulnerable Hadas moves to the big city, Tel-Aviv. She picks up her life where it was before she got married and begins looking for the daughter she gave up for adoption when she was a teen.
With the unexpected help from her roommate Petel and a colorful transgender woman by the name of Rachel, Hadas finds the strength to put her life together.
This unusual triangle of women, who form an allegiance of friendship and support, discover they have more in common than they would have guessed.
